1 * BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
2 SECTION 1. The United States hereby mandates that unrestricted voting rights
3 automatically be restored to people with felony convictions only after the completion
4 of his/her full sentence.
5 SECTION 2. ‘Full sentence’ is defined as the period of incarceration, parole, and/or
6 probation of an individual with a felony conviction.
7 SECTION 3. The United States Department of Justice will oversee this piece of
8 legislation.
9 SECTION 4. This legislation will go into effect on January 1, 2019.
10 SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and
11 void.
