2 Section 1: Pakistan shall be designated as a State Sponsor of Terrorism by the United States Department of State.
3 Section 2: “State Sponsor of Terrorism” is defined as a government which supports violent non-state actors engaged in terrorist activities.
4 Section 3: The United States shall place targeted economic sanctions on Pakistan in accordance with section 6(j) of the Export Administration Act, section 40 of the Arms Export Control Act, and section 620A of the Foreign Assistance Act.
5 Section 4: The United States Department of State, Department of Commerce, Department of Defense, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control shall oversee the implementation of this bill.
6 Section 5: This bill will go into effect three months upon the passage of this legislation after the Department of Defense determines whether or not Pakistan has not entirely ceased support for the Taliban and Haqqani Network operatives.
7 Section 6: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
