* BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
2 SECTION 1. Currently the federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour
3 SECTION 2. The cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) rise 2-3% each year whereas wages
4 have not been rising to the same extent.This now leads to many families now just barely making ends meet
5 or putting them in poverty.
6 SECTION 3.United States Department of Labor shall oversee the enforcement of this bill by establishing a
7 punitive fine for any employer who does not meet the federal minimum wage.
8 SECTION 4. Thi bill will go into effect on the of January 1st 2020
9 SECTION 5.All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
