* BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
2 SECTION 1. The manufacture, sale, and possession of bump fire stocks is hereby prohibited by federal law.
3 SECTION 2. “Bump fire stock” shall refer to any accessory for a firearm that has the effect of converting a semi-automatic weapon to one capable of fully automatic fire by utilizing the force from a gun’s recoil to depress the trigger in rapid succession.
4 SECTION 3. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives shall oversee this legislation.
5 A. Bump fire stocks — and any firearms equipped with them — shall be treated by law as analogous to automatic machine guns, pursuant to the National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Firearm Owners’ Protection Act of 1986,
6 and subject to the restrictions and penalties of same.
7 SECTION 4. This bill shall take effect within 30 days of passage.
8 SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
